💬 Q&A with Dan Craytor
Q: Tell us about yourself—what are your personal passions or hobbies outside of work?
I love coaching high school baseball—it’s incredibly rewarding to mentor young athletes. Living in Colorado, I’m also drawn to the mountains. Skiing, hiking, and just playing outside is my happy place. On the creative side, I get into flow states making music with Apple’s Logic software.
Q: What role does health and wellness play in your life?
It’s always on my mind and while I’m certainly not even close to perfect, I try to keep health and wellness at the center of every day. It’s a priority that’s not always “fun” but I know it will put me in the best position to have many years of quality life ahead.
Q: Walk us through your fitness philosophy.
I keep it simple. Every day I make it a habit to move and/or lift heavy things. I really feel my best when I’m focusing on movements that build systemic strength. I love kettlebells, bands and mobility training the most. I also work with a trainer once per week because I love learning from professionals and the confidence that comes from moving in a way that limits my exposure to injury and maximizes my results.
Q: What’s one fun fact about you most people wouldn’t expect?
I played one year of college baseball, then fell in love with freestyle skiing. I moved to the mountains and went through my own school of hard knocks learning as many tricks as I could. Eventually I was able to confidently pull off 360s, 720s, backflips and front flips before moving away from the mountains to San Francisco in 2003.
Q: Anything else you want to share?
I love meeting people who are locked in and passionate about what they do. I also love connecting people and expanding opportunities for anyone I can.
🧪 Dan’s Health Stack
Dan doesn’t chase fads—he leans into tools that support long-term performance and longevity. Here’s a look inside his current stack:
🟡 RxSugar
Why: All of the research on allulose, a naturally occurring rare sugar is quite remarkable. It lowers blood sugar spikes post meal and it tastes great. There are a multitude of other health benefits as well. RxSugar is the only non-gmo/organic allulose and they make a number of great products you can use throughout the day.
When: I use RxSugar crystal allulose with my coffee in the morning. They make these flavored stick packs called Swealthy Stix. I have those maybe 2-3x per day after a meal and whenever I’m craving something sweet.
Essential or splurge? Essential. I love the taste of sugar, but not the health trade-offs. This gives me the best of both worlds.
🟤 Designs for Health PaleoFiber
Why: Inspired by Dr. Robert Lustig’s research—"protect the liver, feed the gut." Fiber is a foundational longevity play.
When: One scoop daily, usually after my morning workout.
Essential or splurge? Essential. A thriving gut is key to long-term health.
🔵 Original Strength Resets
Why: My friend Mark Shropshire introduced me to this mobility system. It’s powerful stuff, created by Tim Anderson. These resets help me feel incredible—more mobile, more alive.
When: Daily, before workouts.
Essential or splurge? Essential. Feeling amazing is not optional.
🟢 Blokes Personalized Supplements
Why: A friend of mine, Dr. Ben Bikman turned me on to this company called Blokes & Joi. Blokes is the men's division and Joi is their women’s division. They analyze your blood work and tailor a supplement regimen based on your labs. My wife uses Joi. They ship you a pre-packaged supplement regimen every month. It’s super convenient and not crazy expensive.
When: Every morning. My pack includes DHEA, Lion’s Mane, Magnesium, B-Complex, NAC, Omega-3, and Turmeric.
Essential or splurge? It’s truly an investment in my long term vitality which at this point should be pretty clear that to me, it’s essential 😊
💡 What I love about Dan’s approach is that it’s grounded, intentional and deeply human. He’s not chasing perfection—he’s stacking small, meaningful habits that add up to a life of purpose, movement, and connection. Whether it’s coaching young athletes, testing flips on skis, or refining his supplement stack, Dan brings curiosity and discipline to everything he does.
