Inside Shalin Shah’s health stack: testosterone therapy, metabolic health routines and the systems behind sustainable longevity and performance.

Introduction

Workup co-founder and CEO Ryan Frankel recently sat down with Shalin Shah, CEO of Marius Pharmaceuticals and a leading voice in the testosterone and metabolic health space, for a wide-ranging conversation about leadership, longevity and building sustainable health routines in a demanding professional life.

As the CEO of the company behind Kyzatrex, Shalin operates at the intersection of innovation, science and real-world application. Kyzatrex is an FDA approved oral testosterone replacement therapy designed for adult men with low testosterone, offering a convenient capsule based alternative to injections or gels. It is formulated to help restore testosterone to normal levels while supporting energy, muscle and overall metabolic health.

What stood out most in this discussion was not just Shalin's professional focus on metabolic health, but how deeply his personal health practices are woven into his daily life, leadership style and long-term mindset.

Below, Shalin shares his background, daily routines, supplement stack and advice for anyone starting their health journey.

Tell us about yourself, Shalin!

I am the CEO of Marius Pharmaceuticals, the makers of Kyzatrex. Based in Raleigh NC. Outside of work, my life really focuses on family first and then my health and wellness. So its not just work, its a passion. Whether that’s getting into the gym, absolutely love my sauna sessions or doing some other activity/sport. No handyman projects over there though!

What role does health and wellness play in your life?

It is central. For me, health and wellness is really just a way of life. You feel good, you operate better, you show up better - it touches every aspect of your day and all the people around you. That said, it’s easy to overcomplicate so its always important to keep a routine that you can be consistent with.

Tell us about your health protocol. What does your fitness routine look like?

Generally 4 strength days and then 2 or 3 Zone 2 days. Do try to mix in high intensity work at least once a week.

What products (nutrition, supplements, wearables, equipment) do you use to support your health and wellness?

AM: Kyzatrex Oral T, Multi AM, Mitopure, Diosmin, Hesperdin, Tudca, Lorazotide.

Midday: Kyzatrex.

Evening: Omega3s, Magnesium, Butryrate, BPC157+KPV, Larazotide, Evening Multi, Sytrinol, Gaba.

My current stack is really optimized for my personal diagnostics. We often fall into the trap of more is better but we really need to think about what our body needs and its equilibrium. Now I have a more intensive stack than the average person so its also important to just focus on the most important and work your way through.

What piece of advice would you offer someone just starting out on their health journey?

Focus on the small wins and consistency. Start with a routine you can commit to and stick with. Start to layer in additional components when you feel ready for the next stage. Progress takes time and commitment. If you have that mindset, you will continue to make progress on your journey and not just make it successful but make it enjoyable.

Closing Thoughts:

Shalin Shah’s Health Stack reflects a philosophy Workup consistently champions: health is not a short-term optimization project but a long-term operating system. His approach emphasizes diagnostics-driven decision-making, consistency over complexity and routines that support both performance and longevity.

As a leader in the testosterone and metabolic health space, Shalin brings clarity to an often overcomplicated conversation. As a practitioner, he lives the principles he advocates—balancing ambition with sustainability and precision with patience.
