Meet the powerhouse duo behind BON CHARGE, a global wellness tech brand helping people reclaim their health by optimizing light, sleep, and environmental exposure. Andy and Katie Mant aren’t just building one of the most trusted names in wellness - they’re living it. Based in Perth, Australia, they walk the talk, combining passion, purpose and product in their everyday lives. We caught up with the husband-and-wife founders to explore their personal health stacks, entrepreneurial journey and advice for anyone just getting started.
Meet Andy & Katie
What do you do and where are you based?
Andy: I’m Andy Mant, co-founder and CEO of BON CHARGE, based in Perth, Australia. Outside of work, I’m obsessive about testing health protocols, studying longevity science, and spending time with my wife Katie, especially traveling off-grid or spending time in nature.
Katie: And I’m the co-founder and Chief Visionary Officer at BON CHARGE. I split my time between Australia and the UK which gives me the flexibility to stay inspired and connected to different communities and ways of living.
Outside of work, I’m endlessly curious about human potential, so I spend my time experimenting with biohacking, exploring nature, reading about longevity, or testing wellness tech before anyone else hears about it. I also love slowing things down with mindfulness, warm baths, and quality time with family and friends. For me, it’s all about balance: staying ambitious in business while grounded in real life.
What Role Does Wellness Play in Your Life?
Andy: It’s foundational. My entire life, energy, and output are built around wellness. BON CHARGE came from a personal journey, solving my own sleep, energy, and light exposure issues and now it’s become the lens through which I see everything. I don’t separate business from health. My body and brain are the engine behind everything I do, so optimising them isn’t optional.
Katie: Health and wellness are the foundation of everything in my life, from how I show up as a leader, to how I connect with others, to how I make decisions. It’s not about perfection or extremes; it’s about staying in tune with what my body and mind need, and making choices that support long-term energy, clarity, and resilience. Wellness isn’t something I tick off a list, it’s woven into how I live, work, and lead. It’s my baseline for living fully and sustainably.
Their Health Protocol
Tell us about your health protocol. What does your fitness routine look like?
Andy: I lift weights four times a week and walk daily, usually early morning light exposure to anchor my circadian rhythm. I practice intermittent fasting and stick mostly to a high-fat, animal-based diet with minimal processed food. I also use sauna therapy, cold exposure, and red light regularly. It’s all about stacking habits that boost energy, focus, and recovery while minimizing inflammation and stress.
Katie: My health protocol is all about consistency, not extremes. I focus on the foundations first: quality sleep, daily movement, light exposure, hydration, and whole, nutrient-dense food. I build my day around my circadian rhythm as much as possible, getting morning sunlight, avoiding blue light at night, and using red light therapy regularly to support recovery and energy.
My fitness routine is intuitive but structured. I mix strength training 3–4 times a week with low-impact movement like Pilates or walking. I also prioritize mobility, breathework, and nervous system regulation because fitness, to me, isn’t just about physical strength but about feeling grounded, clear, and capable in my body.
Recovery is non-negotiable too. Tools like infrared sauna sessions, magnesium baths, and mouth taping at night help me stay energised without burning out.
Their Health Stack Must-Haves
Andy’s Stack:
BON CHARGE Infrared Sauna Blanket : My go-to for recovery, mood, and purification. It’s become a non-negotiable in my routine. I use it several times a week, especially post-workout or before bed.
BON CHARGE Red Light Face Mask & Max Device: For mitochondrial support, skin health, and overall cellular regeneration. Red light has been a game-changer for energy and reducing inflammation.
BON CHARGE Blue Light Blocking Glasses: I use different lenses depending on the time of day to reduce eye strain, improve sleep, and protect against the constant screen exposure that comes with modern work.
Astaxanthin: In use this for improved skin and eye health, daily.
Katie’s Stack:
BON CHARGE Red Light Therapy Panel: Red light is a cornerstone of my daily routine. I use it in the morning to boost mitochondrial function and energy, and in the evening to support recovery and circadian alignment. It’s one of the most effective, non-invasive ways I’ve found to balance sleep and energy, optimise recovery, and improve skin health.
Thorne Adrenal Cortex: This is a staple in my supplement routine, especially during periods of high stress or when I feel my energy dipping in the afternoon. It supports healthy cortisol levels by nourishing the adrenal glands, without overstimulating them. I turn to it when I need extra support staying resilient, whether I’m navigating a heavy travel schedule, long work days, or a particularly demanding season. It helps me feel steady, focused, and less reactive.
Magnesium Bisglycinate: I take magnesium every evening—it’s a game-changer for nervous system support, muscle recovery, and deep sleep. Bisglycinate is my go-to form because it’s gentle and highly absorbable.
LMNT Electrolytes: I use LMNT most mornings, especially after travel, sauna sessions, or workouts. It’s a great way to hydrate deeply without the sugar crash of conventional sports drinks. The sodium, magnesium, and potassium balance is spot on.
What Sparked BON CHARGE?
Andy: It started with my own sleep issues. I couldn’t fall asleep and didn’t know why. I went down the rabbit hole and discovered how artificial light disrupts melatonin and circadian rhythms. I created my first pair of blue light blocking glasses out of personal necessity and they worked. From there, it became an obsession: if we could solve sleep, what else could we solve? We started developing premium, science-backed wellness tools, and word of mouth took over. We grew from a kitchen bench in Perth to a brand trusted by over 300,000 customers globally.
Katie: BON CHARGE started as a personal mission. We were both feeling the effects of modern life…poor sleep, digital overload, low energy and started diving deep into research around circadian health and light exposure. What we found was both fascinating and frustrating: the solutions were out there, but they weren’t accessible, aesthetically appealing, or rooted in real science. So we decided to create what we wished existed.
What began as a niche idea, blue light blocking glasses that actually worked, quickly gained traction. We realised we weren’t alone; so many people were looking for practical tools to optimise their health in a tech-heavy world. From there, the brand naturally evolved as we expanded into red light therapy, EMF protection, and sleep support. Every product we launch still comes from that original spark: solving real problems with evidence-based solutions people can actually use in their daily lives.
The global growth happened organically, word-of-mouth, loyal customers, and a community that genuinely wants to feel better and live well. We’re still blown away by how far it’s come.
Tips for Newcomers to Wellness
Andy: Start with blue light blocking glasses, especially if you’re on screens at night. It’s the lowest-effort, highest-return product we offer. Sleep is the cornerstone of everything, mood, metabolism, focus, immunity. If your sleep improves, everything else becomes easier.
Katie: I always say to follow the journey of the brand itself and the order we launched products as this was a natural evolution from one step to the next. So to begin with, start with introducing a pair of blue light blocking glasses into your evening routine and see how much better you sleep. Then add in some circadian friendly lighting and work your way up to the bigger investments such as a red light therapy device or PEMF Mat.
Life and Business as Co-Founders
Andy: We’re brutally honest with each other and that’s our superpower. Katie and I have clearly defined lanes in the business, and we respect each other’s strengths. One grounding ritual is our morning walk together with no phones, just sunlight, nature, and conversation. It sets the tone for the day and gives us space to connect outside the business.
Katie: It’s definitely a dance. We are constantly learning how to honour both our relationship and our roles as co-founders and not have the business consume our personal lives too. We check in regularly, not just about the business but about how we’re each feeling, and we try to protect time that’s just for us, not as business partners, but as a couple.
Their Non-Negotiables
Andy:
Morning sunlight
Quality sleep (8+ hours)
Blue light blockers after sunset
Weight training
Time in a sauna or using red light
Movement after meals
These are my foundation, and I don’t compromise on them, even when I’m traveling or under pressure.
Katie:
Sleep. Hands down I will always prioritize sleep — everything starts with that.
On the BON CHARGE Community
Andy: What’s blown me away is how deeply people connect with the mission. We get messages from customers who’ve reversed burnout, restored their sleep, or finally feel in control of their wellbeing again. One that stands out: a mum who wrote in saying our red light mask helped her feel confident again after battling skin appearance issues for years. These stories fuel everything we do, they remind us this isn’t just e-commerce, it’s life-changing.
Katie: What has surprised me most is the depth of connection our community has with the BON CHARGE mission. It’s not just about the products—it’s about the transformation people experience through small but powerful daily habits. We hear from customers who’ve struggled with sleep for years and finally feel rested for the first time, or parents who’ve regained their energy and clarity thanks to simple changes like blocking blue light or using red light therapy. That kind of feedback reminds us why we do what we do—it’s not just wellness trends; it’s real impact on real lives
What’s Next for BON CHARGE?
Andy: We have many new and exciting products in the pipeline - can't share specifics yet, but we’re leveling up across all categories.
Katie: There is a lot happening right now, including some new products launching very soon which we are super excited about. Some of these new products are actual inventions of ours and don’t even exist in the market right now so this is something very special for us. Expect more in the beauty and recovery space, that’s all I can say for now.
Final Words of Advice
Andy: Stay consistent. Wellness isn’t a quick fix - it’s a lifelong journey. Make it part of your identity.
Katie: Don’t overwhelm yourself striving for perfection. Focus on the basics and be patient with your evolution.
